Welcome to PeakRP please make sure you read all of the rules. *Rules can be changed at any moment, if a rule is changed it will be posted under Update_Logs on our forums.* New players are expected to read the rules before playing our servers and will not be given a warning! General Server Rules:
- Do not disrespect | harass | troll.
- Do not hack | exploit | cheat | cause crashes or joke about doing so. (PBNA)
- Do not post inappropriate links.
- Do not spam using the microphone, chat, props, anything from the tool gun, In-game options such as flashlights, buttons, sirens/horns or entities.
- Police checkpoints must be maintained and watched at all times.
- Do not impersonate staff members. (PBNA)
- Do not evade or avoid punishment. (LTAP)
- Do not sit abuse including by not limited to killing | leaving sit | mic spamming ext.
- Do not disrespect staff.
- Do not abuse jobs. (Example. Switching to Police to let your friend out of jail.)
- Scamming in-game for role play is not allowed.
- Do not intervene with a sit.
- You can not kill or mug around spawn or NPC's.
- Do not counter raid, however, Police are allowed to prevent further crime from being committed. 
- Server gang wars are not allowed.
- Physics gun colors that hide the physics gun beams are NOT allowed.
- The mayor has a grace period of 5 minutes. 
- Physics gun can not be used as a pointer.
- Do not break New Life Rule which is 5 minutes. If the raid lasts longer than 5 minutes you must wait until the raid is over.
- Do not Random Death Match.
- You may not go AFK with any job that pays per/m. (Example. Mayor)
- You may not hide any entities in any object. (Example. Boxes or other entities)
- Do not prop: Climb | Surf | Push.
- You can not kill, rob, do hits, mug.
- If a moderator has dealt with your sit leave it like that. If you think it was unjust to go to our forums and submit a Player | Staff report.
- You may not post advertisements in OOC. (Ex. I am selling 5 AK-47 for $8,000 each) 
- You may not commit suicide to avoid a role-play situation.
- ERP is against Garrys Mods TOS and is unacceptable.
- Racism is unacceptable.
- Do not body block
- Do not impersonate other players.
- Anyone caught encouraging others to violate rules will have an equal or greater punishment to the rule violation.
- Do not complain about staffing decisions in-game or in global chat. Appeals or reports can be made on the forums.
- Players directly harming your life, or property may be killed without warning.
- Do not make false reports.
- Crossfire/misclick can still count as RDM.
- You may not put any links in the chat. 
- Impersonation is not allowed of any kind.
- You must have a clear relation to your friends whom you wish to defend in raids, mugs, etc.
- Your name must not contain any special characters or symbols or racist slurs.
- You may not wait outside NPC drug drop off points and mug.
- You may not spam-knock on doors.

Roleplay Relation:
- You are free to protect players that you have roleplay relation with.
- You are free to assist players that you have roleplay relation with, in raids or muggings. 
- If you perform a mug or raid with another player you still are required to wait for the full cooldown.
- Your roleplay relation must make sense. (A police officer can not have a role play relation with a Weed Grower)

Metagaming:
- Your character may not use any outside information beyond its knowledge and beyond its current life (including arrests) to physically carry something out in roleplay. This includes but is not limited to any form of revenge killing, warrant, wanting, or demoting,
- You may not use OOC to bait other players.
- The knowledge you gain from the Realtor NPC is OOC information.
- Meta-baiting is not allowed to lure someone to a certain location.
- You may not use the TAB menu to find out information about a player's Job as that is considered outside information.
- You may not wait outside of drop off points and mug/arrest players. 

FearRP:
- You must follow FearRP like you would in real life.
- If 2 or more people have a weapon pointed at you then you cannot pull out a weapon to kill them. 
- When under FearRP you must follow any orders given to you as long as they are within server rules.
- If Law Enforcement Officers have you at gunpoint, FearRP applies at all times. (Detectives are excluded from this rule)
- FearRP only applies if you are in the voice range of individuals.
- If your weapon is not pointed at the player then they are allowed to take out their weapon and attempt to save their life.

Arresting & Warranting Rules:

General Law Enforcement & Government Officials Rules:
- You must enforce the laws that the Mayor has set.
- You may not use your battering ram to access areas that are prohibited without a warrant. 
- You may not warrant someone without proof.
- S2C5: You may randomly arrest a person. (RDA)
- You may not be a corrupt Government Official without approval from Administator+.
- You may not randomly tase or handcuff players.
- You may only kill someone for breaking a law if they are wanted or if your life or others are at risk. 
- Resisting arrest authorizes lethal force, you must attempt to handcuff them first.
- If there's any illegal activity inside a base everyone who is inside can be under arrest.
- Do not purposely break laws to get a cop to arrest you. (Cop baiting)
- The mayor may not make laws that cross/contradict rules. (Example. “Murder is now illegal” )
- The mayor must make laws that make sense; this is up to the discretion of the staff. 
- The mayor must advert the lockdown reason and it must be legitimate. Based on the staff's discretion.
- Government Officials must only drive government official vehicles. Rules do not apply for Detective.
- You may not own illegal entities 
- You may not perform illegal actions.
- You may not abuse any of your tools.
- All police requesting a warrant could be held liable for a false warrant if proof is not shown when asked. 
- Police may only build checkpoints if authorized by the Mayor or Cheif of Police.
- You may not set excessive fines. 
- You may not kill an officer for giving you a ticket or pulling you over.
- You may only kill an officer if he is trying to put you in handcuffs to avoid the arrest. 
- Police must only want/warrant an individual off of definite and visible infractions. This includes the following: advertisements, chats, illegal items,  mugs.
- If a player is wanted, the Police must make every attempt to arrest, unless/until they unholster a weapon or are causing harm to citizens.
- Police may not plant evidence to incriminate based on any findings.
- No battering ram abuse, you may only battering ram doors or cars.
- Do not abuse safe zones to escape or avoid a roleplay situation.


You may arrest someone if:
- You see them break the law.
- You see them kill or injure someone.
- You see them raiding or mugging someone.
- If they have a warrant for their arrest.
- If they have a gun out in public without a gun license. (Players can only have a gun out in their own homes/property)
- If the player is Carjacking.

You may set a warrant for someone if:
- Incriminating Advertisements
- If they are making illegal substances this can be based on sounds, but not smell
- If a player is evading arrest.
- Reckless Driving (Hitting other cars on the road, Wrong side of the road)

You may NOT set a warrant/arrest for someone if:
- They are defending themselves (Self-Defense).
- You may not warrant someone for speeding.
- They just killed you (NLR).
- They are near a crime scene (interrogate them instead).
- They are standing in the PD lobby.
- They break a server rule (report it to staff members)

Base Rules:
- You may not block off any entrances or exits. 
- You may not make any mazes to get to your valuables.
- Do not build anything that gives you a ridiculous advantage over people breaking into your base. (Discretion is up to the staff)
- Do not edit or build your base during a raid. 
- You can not spam your door.
- To get inside of your base the player should not have to crouch. (No crouch bases)
- You can not lock your door after it's been opened until the raid is over.
- No pitch-black props.
- Your prop can not extend past the walls of your property.
- You may not build while a roleplay situation is taking place.

Raiding Rules:
- You may not raid a base that is already being raided. (Counter Raid)
- Raiders are allowed to kill anyone that is in the base area or on the property within reason. 
- Killing innocent bystanders while raiding is not permitted.
- You must raid with intent, you may not raid just to kill.
- You may not target one player or group unless RP relations persist. 
- When raiding you can not sit in one area for too long and increase the raid time.
- You may not perform 2 raids within 25 minutes
- You may not perform 2 carjackings within 15 minutes apart
- You may not perform 2 muggings within 25 minutes.

Carjacking:
- You can not carjack any cars that are in the dealership area.
- You can not steal a car just to blow it up or trash it, it must be for RP reasons.
- You can hold the car up for ransomed for a maximum of $4,000
- If the owner of the car finds you carjacking he is allowed to defend his property and kill you.
            
Mugging:
- You can only mug a player for a maximum of $5,000.
- This is not an excuse to kill them you must give the player at least 10 seconds to drop the money.
- If the player pulls out a weapon you are allowed to kill them.
- If the player you’re mugging runs, you have the right to kill them.
- Any signs of hostile intent from the victim (shooting, yelling for help, or switching to weaponry) is KOS
- You may not group mug.
- You may not mug law enforcement.

- Car Rules:
- If the police have removed you from your car you must wait at least 10 seconds before getting back inside your car.
- Ramming other cars for fun will be considered Fail Driving.
- Do not prop push your car to get it unstuck please call an admin.
- You cannot use your car to block any entrances or NPCs.

Job Specific Rules: 

Other Government Jobs | General:
- Medic is not allowed to heal during raids or other combat situations. (Combat Healing)
- May not refuse service to players
- You may not own any weapons unless you have a gun license and it is for self-defense use no larger than a pistol.
- You may not raid or mug.

Mayor:
- You may not make any laws that contradict Perminate Laws or Server Rules.
- Taxing citizens over 35% is considered high taxation and government officials can place a warrant or you can be assassinated.
- You may not ask the Secret Service to break any laws.
- No group or player is immune to the laws.
- If you call a lockdown, you must explain your reason for the lockdown.
- The mayor cannot set laws that hinder role-play.
- The mayor can only carry and defend themselves with a handgun.
-The mayor should not engage in dangerous situations unless it is in self-defense.
- The mayor may not run for the next mayor vote if they have switched jobs mid-term.

Secret Service:
- You may not defend the mayor from being arrested by Police.
- You may not perform Police activities and may not aid the police in any investigations unless the Mayor Is involved. 

Private Security:
- You can be accountable for illegal activity and can be arrested by the police.
- You may not perform police activities and may not aid the police in any way unless it is resulting from your employer.
- Only tase players if they are violating a roleplay situation.

Gun Dealer:
- You may not self-supply.
- You can be arrested for illegally selling guns to players without a gun license. 

Criminals:
- You may not raid or mug other players.
